Web Content Development 

  • Content Manager and Intranet Developer - Shire (now Takeda)
Designed and developed a Sharepoint intranet to highlight the extensive library content and services for 25K+ worldwide employees at Shire, a leading global biotech company. Researched and created original educational content about the health conditions associated with Shire’s therapeutic areas.  
​ Founded curated media websites that focus on (respectively): the global effects of Covid-19, the effects of culture, nutrition, environment, technology and art on global health, and women's issues around the world.​

  • Director of Global Health Content - Healthgate
​Created new global content division that specialized in the development of localized consumer health content for international publishers. Based on audience interests and demographics, developed strategy for unique consumer content that incorporated regional cultural factors and health issues.  

Editing 

Edited, managed, and produced well-known international academic journal published by SAGE Publishers that focuses on nutrition issues in the developing world. ​Worked with authors​ in over 90 countries to prepare academic manuscripts for publication.

​Wrote and edited newsletters, brochures, and award-winning annual reports for nonprofit organizations focusing on international reproductive healthcare, and literacy. 

Writing

Book chapters 
Courageous Pioneers : "Bringing Contraception to Italy" and "Fostering Growth...in Ethiopia"
Traveled to Italy and Ethiopia to research, interview and write the accounts of work done by reproductive health advocates in the 1950s and '60s for two book chapters.

Provide photography services to accompany narrative stories, articles, case studies for international publications, development and fundraising projects, annual reports, etc. Previous photography and articles included in:

​Designed and developed the current website for the New England Chapter of the American Medical Writer's Association.

Editing

  • Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center 
Provided editing for all types of communications published by MSKCC, including medical articles, blog posts, annual reports, video captioning, brochures, corporate communications. ​​

Writing 

  • SeniorLink
Wrote articles for major caregiver website on topics ranging from various health conditions and therapies, to cultural competency and educational information for caregivers.
  • HealthGate
Helped to create, plan, and manage a suite of online consumer health magazines, disease centers, and educational multimedia tools that was ultimately sold to EBSCO for $8.1 million.  ​

Other projects:
  • Have researched and written over 120 articles on all types of diseases, treatments, and therapy for foundations, government agencies, and donors. Expertise in narrative content, in-depth health information, and plain language content.
  •  Contributed articles to Tufts Health and Nutrition Letter (see award below) and Tufts Now.
